Paraguayan exports made under certificate of origin reached 660 million dollars during April 2025, totaling 981,907 tons of products sent to various international markets. According to the report presented by the Single Export Window (VUE), national manufactures continue to show positive performance, exceeding the 650 million dollar barrier and approaching one million tons of exported goods.

The American continent remains the main destination for Paraguayan manufactures, concentrating 76% of total exports during April. Shipments to this market exceeded 500 million dollars and reached 832,965 tons of products. Within this region, Argentina led the list of buyers with imports worth 188 million dollars, followed by Brazil with more than 160 million and Chile with 70 million. Other notable markets in the continent were the United States with more than 35 million, Peru with 16 million, and Uruguay with 9 million dollars in purchases of Paraguayan manufactures.

Asia and Europe complement the national export map

The Asian continent positioned itself as the second most important destination for Paraguayan products, with exports valued at 85 million dollars, representing 69,220 tons. In this market, shipments to Taiwan for 25 million dollars, Israel with 19 million, and Bangladesh with imports exceeding 11 million stood out. These figures reflect the growing diversification of destinations for national manufactures, expanding the presence of Paraguayan products in high-potential markets in Asia.

Europe ranked as the third destination for Paraguayan exports under certificate of origin, with operations worth more than 53 million dollars corresponding to 65,959 tons of products. Meanwhile, the African continent imported Paraguayan manufactures worth over 19 million dollars, equivalent to 13,438 tons. Oceania completed the export map with acquisitions of 742,666 dollars, demonstrating that the penetration of Paraguayan products reaches all continents.

The certificate of origin constitutes a fundamental document for Paraguayan foreign trade, as it declares under oath that the merchandise destined for export complies with the rules of origin established in trade agreements. This instrument not only offers tariff benefits in destination countries but also allows for the utilization of import quotas available in markets with quantitative restrictions.
